No Disappointment Here...
Posted by Shooter57 on 27th Dec 2011
I saw this product last year at the 2010 Gun Show in Plano, Texas. I bought a can to try on my DPMS Panther AR-15, my S&W M&P 15-22 and my S&W Sigma Series 9mm. The product has proved itself to me on these three firearms. Cleaning is fast & easy, I use NO oil lubricants; only Safari Charlie. It cleans AND lubricates. I have used Rem Oil in the past, but prefer Safari Charlie instead. Oorah & Semper Fi!

Safari Charlie and Cosmoline
Posted by Pat Hoy on 1st Dec 2011
Dane,
I bought your product at the Ft. Worth Gun Show. My wife and I were at the table next to yours where my wife was selling books.
I used the Safari Charlie on a Mosin Nagant that I had previously cleaned with heat, boiling water, and elbow grease. I was able to spray well into the magazine and chamber with the aerosol.
Even after all the prior cleaning, I still got brown fluid coming out. This indicated to me that the Safari Charlie Gun Lube was successful at dissolving the embedded cosmoline that I couldn't get out before.

My Dad's old Duck Gun
Posted by Brian on 30th Nov 2011
Mark,
Here is my review that you witnessed when we were shooting clays last Friday.
As you know my dad's old Winchester pump action duck gun was malfunctioning in the worst way. I would pull the trigger and it would hesitate 2-5 seconds before it would fire. The first couple of times it happened it scared the crap out of me, just as I would start to investigate why the round did not go off it would fire. Boy was that a test of my safety procedures. The same thing happened every time for an hour or so as I was trying different things to try and remedy the problem.
I had just thoroughly cleaned and lubed it with the most expensive stuff I could find at Academy and was at the clay range practicing for a duck hunt scheduled for Saturday. My frustration was increasing and I was already thinking I was going to need to cancel the hunt or borrow a gun when you walked up with a can of Safari Charlie Gun Lube.
I told you what was happening so you sprayed some into the trigger mechanism a few times wiping the excess each time, handed it back to me and said give it a try. For the rest of the day and throughout the duck hunt it performed flawlessly. The whole group with me that day is totally sold on Safari Charlie Gun Lube. The guys all want some so I will be ordering a case so I can get the case discount you told me about. Thanks again for saving the day and my hunt.

Wing Shooting in Argentina
Posted by Floro Lavalle, Argentina on 30th Jul 2011
Thank you, Charlie for sending your unique all in one gun cleaning and lubricating product. As promised, we began a demanding field test and immediately we were astonished with the results. Upon giving my staff the samples they disassembled, cleaned and lubed each gun. Unlike before, this time for both cleaning and lubricating they used the same product, Safari Charlie Gun Lube! Because it seemed most of the liquid disappeared and there was no oily residue, the staff questioned whether or not sufficient lubrication remained on the metal? The actions opened and closed very smoothly, so off to the fields went the guns, staff, and clients.
To our amazement field jamming was almost non existent and when the guns were disassembled the internal working components were much cleaner than when previous solvents and lubes were applied. There was such a difference that we were able to eliminate our routine lunchtime cleaning. After 2000+ shells shot per day per gun we meticulously inspected the internals of all guns each day and here's where we noticed BIG differences. We didn't find traditional gumming nor were there accumulations of dust, dirt, gun powder and or other foreign matter on metals in the working mechanisms even much less than we noticed at our lunchtime cleaning with our previously used solvents and lubricants. Cleaning and lubing was easier and could be done in ONE process!
When our shotguns were exposed to rain, water seemed to also repel from the lubricated metal. In fact, we detected NO rusting at all. As you know clients often arrive here with their own dirty and sometimes even rusty guns. Before our clients take their own guns to the fields we now suggest first cleaning/lubing their guns with Safari Charlie Gun Lube.
Safari Charlie Gun Lube far exceeded our expectations and I will recommend it to everyone.
After one season of using Safari Charlie Gun Lube, and over 1 million rounds shot, our repair/replacement costs went down 83% from the tens of thousands we've seen annually over the last 30 years. Truly Amazing!

not bad

I got a can from my gun range, and I'm impressed. no mess, and it got to clean some hard stains off the ridges on the barrel of my 1405 Ruger.
4 stars cause the only place that sells it around here is the gun range, half an hour away.

I love promoting products that I believe in

Sirs, I purchased 2 cans of Safari Charlies gun lube a few years ago, and I love it, and I would love to enter into an affiliate arrangement with you and I will brag about it on my website, as I have lots of interests, and have found dozens of uses for SCGL. I love promoting products that I believe in, and yours is one of them.

So far so Good
Posted by Bob Petersen, Biloxi MS on 20th Apr 2011
I haven’t been doing a great deal of shooting, but the dozen or so rifles I’ve treated and taken to the range performed flawlessly. Groupings of 5-10 different loads, 3-each, have been tried on each rifle, some more some less, and the bolts were treated prior to going; slick as glass and zero issues/problems. So far, top notch stuff. This is a keeper!

Corrosive Ammo Report
Posted by Tim Hall, Slidell LA on 8th Jan 2010
Mark - As you know I have been using your Safari Charlie Gun Lube on my 20+ guns for almost a year now and really don’t know how I lived without it. I also wanted to report my corrosive ammo encounter, after shooting 60 or so rounds of corrosive ammo through my Romanian PSL, I had the intention of shooting the next morning so I put off the cleaning, got side tracked, and two weeks later when I realized it, I simply ran a wipe through the barrel and she shined like glass! This stuff rocks!

Light Rounds
Posted by Wayne Holmes on 28th Feb 2009
Guys thanks for introducing me to Safari Charlie Gun Lube. On initial trial I have to admit is sure does smell a lot different from some of the other products that I have carried over the years in my shooting bag. At first I thought that it smelled a lot like some of the flavored cleaners that get used around my home and trust me it is not offensive in any way.
Safari Charlie Gun Lube does a great job of both cleaning and lubricating my Beretta, Browning, and Caesar Guerini semi auto and over/under guns. Shooting a lot of rounds through the semi autos really makes you appreciate the fact that after the initial wipe down/cleaning at how smoothly the gun not only operated initially but just how long I could go without having to repeat the process. I had in the past normally cleaned the gun with Break Free. I always had to lube the piston and various other moving parts in the semi autos to make them function reliably especially when shooting lighter sporting loads. I can't tell you how many times I would have the piston out of my gun soaking in solvent to loosen the buildup on it in hopes of not embarrassing myself at the course with an ill firing gun, this has been virtually eliminated with SCGL, and man does it make my guns shine.
When using BF I noticed that even on the wipe down it took a lot of rubbing to remove finger prints and even light buildup on the moving parts of the gun, not the case with Safari Charlie Gun Lube. Even on my over/under where I would normally use a light grease on the parts of the gun (I call them friction areas)I can now just lightly spray those areas with SCGL and forget the grease, now I just pull a bore snake through the barrels when I finish the round, run my rag across the barrels and put them back in the case and I am ready for my next shoot.
Shooting in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia also makes you appreciate the fact that SCGL repels water. We have days in the Summer especially in the morning hours when the fog and humidity really take a toll on your guns. I can't tell you the times while out on the course when I would cringe at just having the condensation dripping out of the trees on some of my sporting guns that I now give very little thought to.
Thanks again for the intro. I have greatly reduced the items in my shooting bag along with almost eliminating the messy cleanup after the shoot. It gives me more time to get on the porch and start ragging my fellow shooters. "
